Glycol and methyl methacrylates, and therefore any acrylics including the London Resins soften polyethylene (PE) capsules. They also react with O2 during curing and will leave a sticky top layer. Pre-dried gelatine capsules, polypropylene (PP) capsules (R051 RL070) and machined Teflon moulds may be used.
When no tight fitting cover is available, simply laying a piece of kitchen cling-wrap on top of the resin will prevent the oxygen/resin reaction.
Moulded from polyethylene. The critical surfaces of the mould are transparent, facilitating accurate specimen orientation through bottom illumination. Moulds are reusable and each mould is supplied with a protective box.

For flat embedding with LR White, LR Gold and other oxygen sensitive resins. Can be used for both low temperature UV and thermal polymerisation. The moulds are individually machined from high grade PTFE and come with a metal clamping frame to restore flatness to the mould once the specimens are flexed loose
